Emeritus Professor Keith Leopold taught in the Department of German at the University of Queensland from 1947 to 1985. He graduated in 1942 from the University of Sydney, with a University Medal for German. He served for 2 years with the Australian Special Intelligence. In 1945 he accepted a position at the University of Sydney. Professor Leopold was closely associated with the teaching of German in schools.
